SISYPHE - Jam Version
A lonely square drops from the sky, he knows only the way forward...
This is a relaxed adventure game where punishment is only your own doing. Take it at your own pace and help the square renew itself along the mountain path!
Theme: Renewal.
Interpretation: A game where you slowly transform from the jagged mountain edges, slowly turning more and more smooth.
This game was made in 2 weeks in a team of three people. I (Lucas Ljunggren) worked alongside Pierre Scheuer and Samir Senouci to design and produce this game for the Buddy Up Jam: Winter 2024. I worked as the producer and programmer. I also did most level design. The communication was great and I very much admire these two wonderful guys and their abilities and work-ethic. Most solutions were reached through compromise.
SISYPHE came 3rd in the Buddy Up Jam: Winter 2024, the game got a welcome reception by players and has already been played over 200 times!
Our team calls itself Barnen, a deep reference to an inside joke in the group, referring to Pierre's english name Peter Barn and the swedish meaning of said name.

Really nice, lovely experience!
love the colors
Really pretty art and lovely music, The simple mechanics suit the vibes of the game nicely.
it is times like this when i wish i didn't had a 60% keyboard, I was not able to pass the most simple hill, but it looks promising and beautiful, I'm going to check it later on my laptop!
Just wow, you guys took a relatively simplistic concept (scaling a mountain as a square that turns into a ball) and made it exceptional, the art and music is amazing, the mechanics are simple to grasp yet you add challenge, truly brilliant stuff guys
Really love your game. Keep up good work!
Beautiful game. Art was one thing I found hard to balance in the time of the jam but this game is beautiful while utilizing simple shapes. Also a really fun concept lol I ended up telling a friend about it.
Phenomenal job all around! I love to see games that make the most of simple shapes and colors and your team pulled it off beautifully.
